The new Canada Emergency Response Benefit
Students Benefits Can Also Be Deposited Directly
In addition to their Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) and other (SIN) based government benefit payments, eligible students can now have their Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB) paid directly into their account at Your Credit Union once they have applied to the CRA to receive the payment.
Please note, if an individual has never filed a tax return with the CRA, they are not eligible to sign up for the CRA direct deposit service through their financial institution. To sign up for direct deposit or update your personal details, do the following:
